Sync conflicts when switching to OneDrive
Lately I’ve been helping my team shift a bunch of shared folders from Dropbox to OneDrive, and the biggest headache so far has been sync conflicts. Every time two people have slightly different versions of the same file, both platforms throw warnings or create duplicates with weird suffixes. It’s getting messy fast, especially with design files that everyone edits throughout the day. Has anyone dealt with this during a migration and found a way to keep things from turning into a version chaos?

When I had to move files from dropbox to onedrive https://mac.eltima.com/migrate-dropbox-to-onedrive/ for our internal archive, the conflicts drove me crazy at first too. What helped was using a cloud-based migration tool I found while reading through . Since it handles the transfer remotely, it preserved the structure and didn’t multiply files the way manual syncing sometimes does. It didn’t magically fix every version clash, but it cut down the number of duplicates and kept the move much smoother than dragging folders back and forth myself.
